Looks like we both came to the same conclusion over Kronos reliability although I turned to Steinberg VST Live - I find it easier to use than MainStage.

Also have a look at the CME U6MIDI Pro. That can do filtering, routing and translation.

If you turn off SysEx it’ll be a whole lot quieter - Global, MIDI, Enable Exclusive

Parameters manual, page 1122, says Kronos knobs can send predefined CC. Doesn’t mention sysex so I think your idea is a bust.

Ok - perhaps an easier way: I see you’re on Windows. Why not grab a copy of MIDIox and look at the data stream? It’s easy to filter and drill down.
