Look at the stickies here. People change their tubes out for new ones to reduce this. I can run my tube drive knob fully to the right now that I upgraded to JJs.

OK..Which audio out jack are you using? Start with L/Mono. Use that one. Then go to edit part and make sure that your sounds are routed to go through that out, and not outs 3 and 4.

I do not believe it will affect the frequencies at all. In my experience a DI box has always cleaned up my sound. Having the proper chain is extremely important if you have hiss.

Gil, I prefer the tracks to be lined by MIDI sync. It is always the tightest way to lock your tracks and make sure you have kept the exact feel that you created in the machine.

How hot are you tracking in? You want the peaks to be -12db in your DAW.

Also, have you considered using a direct box?
