If you set the pedal to expression cc11 you can set individual volumes any where and the expression will begin affecting the sounds as soon as you move the pedal. This may work better for you.

After further testing; if I leave the polysix patch played on channel 1 played from the Kronos own keyboard & send a Rhodes to channel 2 played from the other midi keyboard; all then seems to stay ... |

Seems to be specifically relating to the polysix engine; if I change that individual sound in the combi to a different engine (organ for instance) it will then work - whereas the polysix just stops ma ... |
