So the next generation workstation from Korg is more like a digital emulation of Odyssey, Prologue and 2600 than anything analog inside. Maybe pricetag would not be what most can afford, don't know. ...

Hi,

You are right, a lot of synths today are not analog at all. They are virtual analog, have samples on board (or is that rather a keyboard than a synth...) or do physical modelling or something e ...

Hi,

Sorry. I was a bit fast.
Once setup as split or layer mode, you can push either Timbre A or B button and all front panel controls (like oscillator, filter, amp) will then edit the selected tim ...

Hi,

Good that you tested the loopback both on the focusrite and the ms2k.
Good also that you play with midiox. You can not really come closer to the hardware.

However the results leave me puzz ...

Hi,

Disclaimer: I don't own a MS2K.

My feeling says after glancing through the manual: No, you can not record the Mod Sequencer. It is not a real step sequencer, that triggers a new note per ste ...

Don't you have another soundmodule with MIDI In? Then you could try to control that one straight away with a MIDI cable without a PC and the Focusrite, to rule one of them out.
Or try a USB-MI ...
