I reproduced your issue at my side as well. It sync on the DAW clock via USB, but stops at that moment to output the sequencer notes on the MIDI out via TRS. ...

SysEx messages are long messages. Cheap interfaces tend to cut off parts, overflow internally or something like that on these messages. So an improper exchange between the synth and the PC.
