A 1N4148 appears to be a good substitute for the 1SS84. Differences in the specs should not matter in the M1 application.

You might consider downloading MIDI-OX (http://www.midiox.com/). It should run fine on Win 10 or 11 when properly installed.

Turn off "Track Protect" per track or changes won't be stored to the sequencer memory.
