Same. It's one of my most disappointing purchases. I'm sitting on it and I can't sell it even close to the prize I bought it pre-release. That's also new. Normally you could trade the machines +- 50$ ...

I think Kivy lends itself well for iOS or Android music apps.
(Though I only use desktop applications, so I'm not urging you to proceed with creating a phone/tablet app at all)

Coding for MaxForLive and the desktop app is not quite the same unfortunately and I'm not sure if this was even open sourced by Xanadu.

Trigger Mode is for that if I remember correctly.

Unfortunately option 1) includes loosing quite a bit money.

Did you install Python 3? What's your OS?

(this is coming from a musician who likes to play instruments and not press buttons and twist knobs so of course it's just my opinion)

The E2 / E2S don't look very alive.

Looks like they are now just trying to fix the hack and the workaround for the hack lock. 7 months later and there's not even the simplest of bug fix or feature ...
