your EMX doesnīt save any AUDIO file at all

It just save the programming data for songs, patterns, synths and FX settings...NO AUDIO

I donīt think korg designed both machines so different to get such a big difference between them...

If you got the EMX ROM samples loaded into the ESX I bet both machines will sound almost identica ...

well, it isnīt a lexicon but some things like the chorus, phaser, delay, decimator, ring modulation and even the distortion and the compressor (to some things) works very well...

just use output 3 and 4. I think those bypass the tubes. Check the manual thought, but I'm pretty sure about that.

if you route a part to output 3/4 you canīt use the FX processors on this part

You need to activate one of the Keyboard Parts and assign a sample to it as well before that works. Also make sure the keyboard is not set to a low octave so the sample is pitched way down.

Both machines are really good at what they do, it might be easier if you describe your style and workflow and what you'd like the music to sound like. Easier just to recommend one machine that way Smile ...

yes, the loop points that you set in sound forge saves as metadata in the .wav file and the ESX recognized them as loop points as well...so you can add transients to your cicles in order to get a diff ...
