I recently purchased a Microsampler and I´m trying to send a bank from the Editor (PC, win 7)

I installed the korg USB drivers and the computer recognized the Microsampler the first time I connecte ...

I use a roland A-880, this is quite old and excellent...it has 8 x 8 matrix that you can configure in any way and then save it to a memory bank than can be recalled when needed

your EMX doesn´t save any AUDIO file at all

It just save the programming data for songs, patterns, synths and FX settings...NO AUDIO

EMX synthesis is both simple and deep at the same time
maybe is the better synth you can get who has both things in so great balance

for sampling while playing upgrade to an sp-555...it can sample/loop on the fly

the only korg machines who can sample and loop are the kaoss pad series but the sampling capabilities are limited...t ...

I was looking for the EMX ROM sample pack on a bunch of my 2007 backup DVDs, but I dont found it yet

I remember getting it from some guy on emule...I don´t know how it was extracted but it have all ...

I don´t think korg designed both machines so different to get such a big difference between them...

If you got the EMX ROM samples loaded into the ESX I bet both machines will sound almost identica ...

I found this on tubedepot...really expensive...wonder how the EMX could sound on this

well, it isn´t a lexicon but some things like the chorus, phaser, delay, decimator, ring modulation and even the distortion and the compressor (to some things) works very well...

just use output 3 and 4. I think those bypass the tubes. Check the manual thought, but I'm pretty sure about that.

if you route a part to output 3/4 you can´t use the FX processors on this part

You need to activate one of the Keyboard Parts and assign a sample to it as well before that works. Also make sure the keyboard is not set to a low octave so the sample is pitched way down.

Both machines are really good at what they do, it might be easier if you describe your style and workflow and what you'd like the music to sound like. Easier just to recommend one machine that way Smile

yes, the loop points that you set in sound forge saves as metadata in the .wav file and the ESX recognized them as loop points as well...so you can add transients to your cicles in order to get a diff ...

did you have the MIDI note numbers correctly assigned?
