works 100% ok on my MBP retina 2013.

zero FX Send, Ext 1, ext 2 are only SEND FX it means unless you route them pre-fader and keep the fader down there will always be the dry signal in the final mix.

FX send are made for reverb, delay ...

If i have some time i will put the fan inside the mixer,
power it from the internal psu and make it temperature regulated.
