I agree 100% that DAW integration is the one area where the Kronos fails.

Has anyone had good success with either of the solutions mentioned to integrate the Kronos as a plug in within Logic Pro ...

The manual describes how to save all, or save a bank of sounds.

Through trial and error, I can save an individual patch by selecting SAVE PCG, then deselecting all the banks, drums, global, etc ...
