Tubes can make a difference especially when overdriven. This is exactly applied in the nubass VTO which has saturation for the sub oscillator.

Classical tubes are in fact quite rare on synths. Apar ...

Volcas are entry level products and offer a lot for the money. Quite obviously they are not for everyone. I have no plans to buy them, but I'm glad Korg is expanding the line of affordable synths. Wit ...

Give them a chance. You don't loose anything by sending an email to your country distributor. If the issue is known they may suggest a workaround.

Forum is ok too, you can get support any time, but ...

hello rodion77

I've made a few tests and like you could not get expected results. It seems Korg Odyssey, following its size, is only 86% compatible with the original. Wink

More seriously... this ...

Can you post a photo of the synth, both top and back panel, so we could check the settings? Perhaps there is something not obvious that escapes our attention?

I've looked once again at the original problem with envelopes. It seems only ADSR envelope is retriggered with each key press and AR not. To be more specific ADSR follows TRIG signal while AD is hardw ...

I recommend reading manuals. Thay may seem boring, but don't bite Wink
There are a few for the Odyssey - Korg's own and original Arp's, but you can learn a lot from others - take a look at Arturia Bea ...

Hello Broadwave,

Perhaps you would share more informations about the calibration process, especially regarding the trimmers available from outside?

TIA,

If Korg has really done a good job it should not be possible at all!

KARP is a purely analog device unlike many modern so called true analog synths, which are in fact hybrids with extensive digital ...

Hi jayrope,

It seems the cv input goes after the portamento circuit. The reason is that the cv output is also after the portamento and ppc, which has an advantage when controlling other synths from ...

I don't have ms-20 but I've managed to achieve something similar on karp using portamento. The trick is to set the time to fit the playing tempo and to apply the slide only to certain notes. For examp ...
