Probably fix it but you can back your patterns up with the editor/librarian anyway. I'd back mine up regardless. They might reset it anyway for testing purposes. Back up your patches!

Be sure to try the editor librarian software, because it's a great way to learn how it works inside.

I didn't know the xl was missing so much from the r3. And only $50 difference?! The mod sequencer is what sets the r3 apart from other similar vas for me. Even for $100 more i'd rather have the r3 bas ...

Are you sure audio is coming from the R3? Try plugging some headphones and playing a few notes.

If there's no audio local control could be turned off or if it's an arp patch it won't play if sync ...

Have you tried resetting it or rerunning the os update? That sometimes can fix problems and will also eliminate the OS as the cause.
