I have re-initiated my Kronos61 using an outboard LG DVD drive successfully via USB port 1. It was a strange case though. I was getting failures because I was using the wrong set of DVD's.

I send a click track only through 1/2 to the drummer and mix all the backing through the main Left and Right outputs. The click track goes to a little Behringer headphone amp in stereo. Works Vunder ...

If you go into disk mode, you should be able to look in the folder where your .KSC's are stored and see the size of them. Then you could determine if any of them are "unnaturally" large. ...
