I just got a MS too Very Happy

I had the same problem as you, then I checked Preferences, Audio Device.
In there I selected
Driver type : CoreAudio
Driver name: Build-in output
Output channel: Outp ...

Is there either:
1) A FX Global off somewhere?
2) A fast way to turn off the effects for any given patch I call up?

The only thing I see on the face is the MOD/Delay switch; Speed/Time; Depth/Fee ...

ACtually I think I noticed this in one of the factory sample banks...
one of the samples within actually goes on for about 8 seconds or so, then fades out. meaning, it's in the sample itself, non-loo ...

What is your setting for "DECAY" and "RELEASE" to make this happen?

Yes, it is in loop mode. That is the point.
I want a looped sample (or any kind of sample for that matter) to have a fading tail when I release the key, not abruptly stop and cut off.
