I don't have one and I don't think I would ever. The I/O on the KR-55 is limited.. there's no MIDI or USB.

The sounds and grooves are pretty decent, but not being able to interface with a computer ...

You can use trigger pads or keys. It's really up to you. I highly recommend using Ableton Live. You'll, of course, need a laptop and an audio interface, however.
