A few things to consider:

1) That price for a mint Kronos 73 is amazing! Since you could return it if needed, I'd give that a shot before selling the G7 if you could do that.

For the Kronos 3 all Korg need at a minimum is another slightly edited touchscreen in tilt or size difference and that's the new interface screen. Then Korg will add the new Nautilus style looking but ...

Mostly conjecture, but I've seen and heard enough from various sources to be convinced Korg will have a new synth released before EOY, potentially a Kronos replacement.
