Electribe ESX-1 WAV / Sample Organizer *SOFTWARE*

Hello ppl.
I've recently started using my ESX and also this software.
When I have exported my "sample.esx" from the wave organizer and choose the "loadesx" (or whatever it is called) from the Global menu, it overwrites everything. I just want it to add the samples after the factory ones. Is this a limitation in the ESX or just me doing wrong? And I don't want to add the samples one by one.

i donno what youre doing wrong? i (at first) was able to add some of my sounds after the stock ones in the editor.. i eventually just kept a stock esx file on my card and made all new ones from scratch.. i havent touched stock samples since i did that.. in the editor did you start from scratch or did you make a copy of everything on the esx and work from that stock esx file? if you started from scratch and couldnt see the esx stuff then when you load it it will only load the new one you made otherwise you have to load them all individually...
as im writing this i think that is what you did.. to get it to do what you want.. make a backup then add your sounds to that list of stuff..
ps you can press shift and then use the jog wheel to scroll by tens instead of just one at a time..

Just FYI.. he is working on a new version of the ESX sample manager. Goto his site to sign up for updates and/or make a donation if you want to encourage him to hurry up a little bit
I recently spoke with him in email and this is indeed a live project he is working on but he's been a bit busy lately and working on it a bit slower than he intended. So.... pleeeeease.. let him know there's a ton of interest in his new version! Words of encouragement and whatnot.

copy patterns from one bank to another
hello electribers
i use the sample organiser software and i'm thankful to the authorl
but.....
let say i have 2 banks and lets name them 01.esx and 02.esx. i like the first one and i would like to get rid of the second one, but there are 3 patterns on 02.esx that i like very much and i don't like to loose them.
can you tell me, if there is a way to transfer only those patterns (samples included) from one bank to another?
thanx a lot

Current version is in Java, so it's supposed to run natively on Linux. It seems to be working here (Ubuntu 10.04), except I don't have an ESX and a card to test it right now.Pastor-of-Muppets wrote:Has anyone tried running this software under Wine on Linux?
since you mention command-line tools that interact with ESX, by chance do you play with scripting and MIDI?Pastor-of-Muppets wrote:If it doesn't work I'm tempted to research the .esx file format and write a simple command-line tool which would work under Linux and Mac, but I probably won't bother if I can run the existing organiser...
Think about a simple program that every minute polls and/or scraps a web page for a specific value, converts that value to a MIDI parameter and send it to your ESX. Make it even easier: no sync.
Do you think it would be feasible?
I only have small experience with shell scripting and python but I may get back to studying.

I read all posts from this topic and i found this question by paul_courville :

In fact i didn't found others posts about this question. Someone have any idea about it?
