Samples not loading when combining sets
Hi for the past few days Ive been trying to load samples and sounds from 1 set we'll call SET A for example in to my Personal set we'll call B.
The problem is I deleted everything in the SSD memory and individually loaded the samples 1 by 1 like in the link at the bottom of this post. The problem is some samples wont load that I know work in my 1 set, but for some reason, it wont load.
For example Bank 1 user sound 9 "tabla". I i load that individual file from the set and load it into my fresh new personal SET B, it wont load the sample..
The 2nd thing i tried doing was just loading samples straight into my set without clearing the SSD memory. the problem with that is that it would overwrite some of the samples already hthere without me actually overwriting it.
An example: Style "4/4 dance" has the drumkit "Techno KIT' and for the percussion a sample called "4/4 tech".
Now this 4/4 tech will turn into "7/8 tabla" randomly even though the sample name is still 4/4 tech. Its like it keeps the same name but a different sample gets loaded into it.
Ive been getting really annoyed with this and any help is appreciated. Thanks.

PCGs not LOADing its own Assigned Samples can be only one single problem.
Load the Original Set A, resave it back, do the same thing with Original Set B
and resave it back, after that everything will Load just fine.

Hi Gflow,
This is a help file with step by step instructions and pictures (in Microsoft Word 93 format) to tell you how to merge a new SET containing sounds and samples with any other sounds and samples on your Pa2x or Pa800. This file will eventually be incorporated on the forum's forthcoming Wiki site.

If you don't have Microsoft Word on your PC then you can download a free viewer from Microsoft here:

Sorry, not indivdual samples by each little note Imean like for example "Ethnic 7/8" that sample which may have like 6 time slices wont load as a whole, thats what i mean by individually.Rob Sherratt wrote:The Pa2x/ Pa800 will not load individual note samples unless the note value and tuning offset data is stored in the sample. Awave can add these values, WavePad can not.

I think you are mixing up some things.
If you only want to save style 7/8 from SET B to SET A you do not have to experiment with samples at all.
You can simply check which drumkit is used for the style. Within the style you can check which sounds are used within the arrangment tracks (write them down) and you only have to copy those sounds to your user bank, remember the position and after transition simply locate that sound to the right arr track. If it is a looped sample, the same thing counts: just concentrate on the sound, not the sample !
There is NO need whatsoever to manually move around with samples !
