How Do You Combine Sets?
Need help for PA2X. As I audition styles I find many I have no use for and a few I would like to ad to my gig sets. How do I delete styles from one set and ad style to that set from another set. Or How do I create a new set using only selected styles from several sets?
Thanks,
Hammer

Hi Dean,
I think Baboosh may have the answer with his software ... it's very close to solving this problem in an automated way on a PC for us.
Meanwhile you can use the MEDIA-COPY function. You select SSD-S, then OPEN the STYLE folder, then open one of the .STY files and you will see individual styles listed. Select one style that you want to move and press "COPY" and you will be prompted for the destination, I suggest with a Pa2x that you use FAVORITxx banks.
Always keep one complete FAVORIT bank empty then you can load new styles into that bank by doing MEDIA-LOAD. Open the .SET file, OPEN the STYLE folder, select one of the complete .STY banks and press LOAD. You will now be prompted for a bank, and specify your "Empty" FAVORITxx bank and it will load the complete bank.
On a Pa500/Pa588 the work space is limited to the two USERxx style banks, you can do it a similar way but it will be slower.
Regards,
Rob

Hi Deane. I think you mean XRM from Mick Barry. The software link can be found near the bottom of the page after thr Tutorialhammer wrote:Hi Rob,
I thought I saw software someplace that allowed us to copy styles from one set into another - but can't remember what it was.

Hi Deane, It won't work with i3 styles. You would have to load them directly into your keyboard. XRM deals with pa styles....

Hi Rob,
thanks,
How do I empty a 'user' bank after trying out the newly loaded, but rejected styles?Rob Sherratt wrote:

Hi David, after auditioning styles in a bank you can save just the one's that you want to keep by save an individual highlighted style and create a new name specific set [for eg Gig01/02/03/04 etc], then save each individual style that you like to that Set, I try to use User1 if possible and keep the styles in order so that I can put 32 styles to each Bank.... Then you can overwrite User1 with new styles to review. Hope that helps..

Re: Empty user bank
You save an empty Favorit** bank to your own .SET file, then you use the Load-Open-Load method to reposition it anywhere you want to re-initialize that bank.maintech wrote:Hi Rob,

thanks,
If you don't have an empty bank of your own left, e-mail me and I'll send you one of my .SET files you can use.

Rob
