Bluetooth signal to Korg Kronos

Post by Wsadj »

Greetings!
I wonder if there is any way my Kronos, may have bluetooth or sign of this.
What for?
Piano would send signal (sequences) to your headphones with bluetooth.
Thank You

First thing that comes to mind is not to mess with internals of the Kronos but plug some BT transceiver to headphones out.
Some complains, however, are there because of possible BT audio latency (bothers you playing live) and quality loss.
I have not seen any clues that Kronos OS would support BT and not just support but allows audio transmitted, however - so there is very very little hope if you insert USB BT dongle into your Kronos and expect some audio transmission happen :)

Something like this might work.

http://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Transmi ... 00P24XKS8/

I did not do an exhaustive search for the one with the best sound quality. This is just the first one that showed up.

I'm not sure if latency would be an issue. At first, I thought it would, but people use them to watch TV. The latency might not be too bad...

I bought and tested this bluetooth transmitter.

Latency IS an issue.

This is MIDI over Bluetooth - it is different thing than you wanted initially - get sound over BT...
Gets its power from MIDI OUT (+5V) - do not know if Kronos has that
Works only with iOS and requires special iOS app to catch MIDI - so if all works as advertised you can exchange MIDI data between keyboard and iOS device.

Before I returned my QUICCO WMI, I was told by them that the KRONOS MIDI OUT voltage was NOT sufficient to power their device.

Quicco midi does work!

Post by Niven8 »

Hi,
I've been using Quicco midi for several months now....it works flawlessly!
I use it to connect my OnSong app directly my Kronos to change banks/sounds, as I change songs in OnSong.
You must use Apples Garage band to enable the Quicco to work...via Bluetooth I( have a Kronos2)....also make sure that you plug the connections in the correct way!..send them an email if you have probs, they did reply to me.
