Change of SSD and public ID

Would changing the SSD mean having a different public ID ?

I'd appreciate if someone who has changed the SSD could confirm.

Good to know, thanks. I guess it's a simply matter of copying the little file downloaded after you've registered.

Thats correct. In my case, I downloaded the authorization file before I changed out the drive and everything worked fine. Just make sure you have a USB CD drive that works on the system before you remove the old SSD drive.
