A friend of mine recently bought a PA800, and what I like the most about it, is the fact that it has an EQ function. Master EQ, and individual track EQ's to make adjustments on each track!
As well as the fact that it has a USB port!
In a way I feel cheated I paid double what he paid, and I got fewer functions (which I needed).
Apart from having fewer sliders, cheap keys and bad speakers, what does the PA800 lack (from the PA1X) which it makes it half the price?

Does anyone know if Korg will come out with another operating system for the PA1x which will add the EQ function?

Soga

Korg said several times that the PA800 has a new soundcard (hardward) which allows EQ functions. Don't forget that the PA1x is older : in 1979 you paid 50000 Dollars for the Fairlight which was less powerfull than the Pa1x.
Best
