|
|
Hi all,
I'm a newbie... I just got my Extreme and have a real niggling problem.
I'm in the sequencer and I have a new song and I'm recording tracks fine at the default 4/4 meter.
If I want to record in say 3/4, how do I change it?
At the top where it gives the "Meter: 4/4" you cannot select it and change it. In the "Tempo" box next to it you just touch it and type a new value.
So, how do I record songs in 3/4!
I swear I can't find this info in the books.
Cheers!
Matt. |

Press the REC button, then you can change it.
Regards.

It's described on pages 55 and 56 of your Parameter Guide (chapters "Meter" and "Changing the time signature in the middle of a song").
Quote: | Set “Track Select” to a Track 01–16, press the SEQUENCER
[REC/WRITE] key, and specify the time signature here.
When you press the SEQUENCER [START/STOP] key to
begin recording, the time signature you specify will be
recorded on the Master Track and on the already-recorded
tracks. |

it's still doing my head in though.
i record a pattern in 3/4 than set "loop end measure
" to 8 or whatever in plyloop, but it doesn't loop what i played correctly.
after playing the first bar ok it's all out of time and weird.
this is somethin to do with the changing of the meter cos everything i do in 4/4 is fine.
grr. |

duragzu,
you have to force sequencer to memorize exact location of track where you want measure to change.
Go to "P5-Track Edit" than to "insert measure" (page 82 of Parameter Guide) and insert desired number of measures with 3/4 signature (number of measures that match length of pattern). Chech "All tracks" so measures will be inserted in all tracks including Master track (master track keeps data about events, meaning all changes, settings etc).
When you did this, insert your pattern in the first of new measures - that measure will trigger pattern to play.
After that make your plyloop adjustments.
When making song programming different measures in the track/s is the easiest way to ensure your track will play in the expected way, IMO. |
