Hi,

they are probably recorded without using a metronome or cannot figure out what could be a different problem.

There is a function in Cubase that let you address this problem, called Time Warp.

Hope this help.

Regards.

I dont think TIME WARP can help him at all, thats for AUDIO.
A MIDI file that doesnt match the TEMPO METER hmm, a lil funny but not too
funny, it might be recorded without following any tempo.
There is no solution to it, if you QUANTIZE it'l mess up the whole thing, the
only way to make it better is to use a COMP sequencer like CUBASE, open
the KEY editor and then start grabing the notes one by one a put them onto
propper positions, then it will follow tempo, i cant think of anything else.

Nedim,

why talking without knowing and with the usual arrogance ?
You always lead to bad impressions with other forum members !
Believe me, you are not the only one having spent some time working with music. But better closing here the discussion.

The Time Warp feature available in Cubase SX 3 works with MIDI, no question. I've used it countless of times after having made a free recording (with no metronome) to put in time my playing with the beat. And I still believe this is the only feasible solution for our friend ruifa.

Best regards.

Booby there is no arogance at all nor anything against you. TIME WARP
cannot WARP MIDI messages and thats all there is to it, its just not made
for it, doesnt recognize. TIME WARP is not for STATIC tempo, it is made
to make the song more musical, meaning for a CONSTANT CHANGING TEMPO.
But if you succeed it doing that then good for you, call up STEINBERG and
ask for a reward...I never heard of anything fixing your tempo on its own,
not before you warm up your chair...

Hi,

you still don't know what are you talking about.

Before speaking, watch how Time Warp works and than talk again.
There is no reward for me, it's just using an appropriate Cubase feature for the given ruifa problem. STOP !
Inform yourself before speak and have less arrogance.

Is there in this forum any other Cubase 3 user offering more info to Nedim about this nice feature ?

Best regards.
