Hey John,

I'm just starting to learn the electric, slow progress at the moment, still the fingers have stopped hurting now Smile

I've ordered a Strat, and have a digitech rp250 for effects.

Your set up looks good, I'll post a pic when the guitar arrives.

Thanks....it's been over 10 years in the making and cost more than I want to think about lol. The effects in my guitar rack sound phenominal on the Korgs too.....,.

A strat....cool man! Line 6 has that new amp coming out(spider valve)...that has the tube power amp section designed by bogner....I bet that would make a kick ass amp!

Well I thought I was until I saw that picture Smile Very nice rig there Cool

Nowadays it's my secondary instrument, but was where I started from. It's kind of come to the foreground more recently with a project I am working on with a friend thats much more guitar focussed.

I have a Yamaha Pacifica, nothing flash. The Pacifica is bomb-proof, though. Hardly ever goes out of tune, no matter how much you thrash it. It was in storage for five months or so too, once, and when I got back to hooking it up again it was still in tune. This is in comparison to my mate's very expensive vintage Les Paul, which goes out of tune with every song you play!

The Pacifica has a nice small and thin neck too. Exceptionally easy to use.

Those Pacificas are nice guitars....great bang for the buck. Yamaha's amps kick ass too, I have one of thier Yamaha dg series digital modellers....makes the pod sound like a toy.

I used to hate les pauls, until I played one with the 60's neck profile. Thin and fast. I hate those les pauls with the 50's neck profile....like a baseball bat.

Your friend's Les Paul probably won't stay in tune because of improper stretching of the strings at string change or string binding at the nut or bridge. Both easily fixed. Some lubrication at the nut makes all the difference. Does your yammy have a floyd?

THanks Daz:) Yeah, it does everything I could ever need and more. I laugh a bit cruising on the keyboard forums when some synth guys say that guitarists don't have to tweak sounds lol. With my setup, I can get some VERY synthy sounds from my guitar. My TS and 01/Ws love running through my guitar rack's effects. Makes Triton's fx sound pretty bad by comparison.....lol of course it should, Eventide is probably my fav. effects company.

That Eventide Eclipse will blow your mind...this is a guitar:

There might be, but they know better then to admit it on a keyboard site Laughing

I play both, but it's my keyboard amp that goes to 11...
