|
|
Dear friends,
I prefer to compose song from the existing built-in style rather than starting from scratch. I would choose the style that is close to the song I am trying at then edit the track / record my tracks / delete the unneccessary tracks etc.
Now I want to know two things: On Intro1/CV1, suppose my recorded music is 9 measure long I record it and it plays... I have also assigned tabla loop on percussion track that plays simultaneously along with my recorded music... no problem... Now there is a drum track that also starts along with the [recorded + percussion track] from 1st measure.
Now, I want two things to happen:
1. That for the first 3 measures, only my recorded music should play along with the percussion track ... no drum track...
2. That from the begning of 4th measure, drum track should start with a Fill-in/Roll-in and then the assigned drum should play for rest of the measures on intro1...
Now how to:
1. give 3 blank measures on drum track in the begining
2. How the drum track should start with a fill-in/roll-in?
Friends, I hope I am able to explain my MILLION DOLLER questions, Please enlighten me... it will be a great help to me....
Thanks & Regards

You can delete 3 measure of drum track of Intro element,
=go to style edit
=select intro part
=hit Menu > Style Edit > "Delete" tab at the bottom
=Make sure the drum track is seleted
=leve the "Start tick" at 001.01.000 and set "End Tick" at 04.01.000
=Hit execute
=Hit yes
Now you have deleted first 3 measures of Drum track.
For the Fill-In you will have to do it manually with Drum tracks, if you want the fill from measure 4 to 5 then delete 4-5 as well and do the fill manually.
You can listen to the Intro parts of my PA800 Indian sequences on my web site www.melodyTracks.com

You can copy Fill in part Drum into Intro part but you can't copy 1 measure of fill onto a specific measure of intro drum track, it has to be on all measures of intro first and then you can delete the measure of intro drum, you don't want but in that case you will have to do all other measure of intro drum track manually _________________ Music is a real Therapy

When you go to COPY and where you choose from where to where,
if you keep turning you gonna start getting the CVs, you cant copy
from INTRO to END or viceversa the whole ELEMENT, you can only
COPY a CV so if you turn the knob more where you sellect from where
to where you gonna get the CVs for each element so now you can
copy INTRO 1 CV1 to END1 CV 1 or whatever. _________________ http://www.basaristudios.com

Hi Nedim,
He was asking something different Nedim.
(talking about drum track)
He has got Fill/CV1 of 1 measure
and Intro/CV1 of about 8 measure or so (more than one)
and he wanted to copy 1 measure of Fill/CV1 onto 4th measure of Intro/CV1 only, and wanted intro/CV1 the same as default from measure 4th onward, according to my knowledge he can't copy fill/CV1 on to only a specific measure of intro/CV1, he has to copy it onto the 1st measure of intro/CV1 and then he can extend the measures of Intro/CV1 upto 32 (as needed) max and then delete rest which are not needed and edit or do the deleted part manually OR easier way is to do fill manually as it is only 1 measure and his total Intro is of 8 measures.
If I am wrong, let me know _________________ Music is a real Therapy

Hi Dear Nedim,
Why are you taking it personally, why should I go against you and I am NOT actually !!!!! , I am only trying to discuss his question, doesn't matter who gives the answer, you , I or anyone else. _________________ Music is a real Therapy

OK. . . OK. . .OKAY....
I missed some of this action as I had gone somewhere with my family. But irregardless, from what I can see I am a bit disappointed...
Nedim and Shahid: Both of you have been around here for awhile and I really have come to respect both of you and your contributions here. Over time, both your knowledge and character have become a part of what we are here at the forum. I'm not even going to ask what happened, who misunderstood and who is/was having the bad day. . . .
Loosen the belt strap a notch or buy the next size up pair of briefs. I'm quite sincere in my statements about the respect I have for you guys here on the Forum.
Just chill chill just chill...
Thanks & Regards to both of you...
