It's very annoying, I don't see how you can use this during a Live!?
"IF" this wasn't the case you would actually have a 4-channel touchpad mixer
and that would be *very* useful!

Thanks for the update!

I'm glad misty brought this up...I forgot about this and having it so when you editing the volume of the samples or the sliced beats and so one; there is no need for the other samples to be muted! We can mute the samples our selves by turning the sample off! Actually, lets consider this mute issue a bug (because when you really think about it this really is a bug) and get that fixed so we all can enjoy the benifits of a virtual 4 channel touchpad mixer that I'm pretty sure was suppose to happen Wink

thanks!

SMK

yep, have to agree with this point.

There's gotta be a way to push for this. Honestly it really is something that needs "Fixed" on the OS and I'm pretty sure it can be done quickly.

Out of all the suggestions I have for a new OS The mute problem is clearly the easiest to fix. It is simply changing the program string to allow the other samples to play while you are editing one of the samples (volume and sliced) in edit mode. And since everyone at Korg keeps playing the "this for DJ's" tune, having this fix done is extremely useful for the DJ.

Hey Jerry, where are you on this one. We could really use your help here.

Thanks

I also agree with the 'exclusive volume adjust' thing being a problem..

Yihaa! I'm glad I didn't sell my KP3, this clock issue was really bothering me Sad
I've uploaded the new OS and the timing is alot tighter now, thanks Korg!!

Nice to see that you're still working on "other issue's" although I haven't got a
clue what they are... but I would really like to see the following.

quote! this is very stupid that all other channels are muted!

and fix better the auto bpm... it still piss me off...goes randomly from 90 to 190 bpm!! and

1) WHY... i repeat WHY the AUTO BPM turn off if i press SAMPLE???

2) WHY my sample AUTOSTART when finishing the aquisition?

3) WHY if i record 2 sample (from the sound track and that means = same bpm) and im not so DAMNED precise like hell and i activate it togheter the i heard my "presso imprecision timing?" i try to explain with example

sample A: sound...... I PRESS BUTTON TO SAMPLE... im perfect with the timing so 0 offset....

sample B: sound ..... I PRESS BUTTON TO SAMPLE... im not perfect and i delay my press of 0.2 sec..

im.... f***ed! because:

a) i cannot resample.. (because i cannot stop the music in the disco and say "sorry i was 0.2 sec late on press a button".

b) if i press sample A and Sample B both ON... i heard the improcision...

Pioneer cdj1000 1000mk2 1000mk3 cdj800mk2 have the autobeat loop.... so if u press the "DAMN BUTTON" too late or too early.. they simple correct the start/end cue to the beat.

oohh yes.... on kp3 i can correct sample.... i can shift+sampleB and usind the joystick correct the offset.... ohh yeah....

example:

i wrong sampling... shift+sample .... i want correct... ok..what i must to put? +0.1 + 0.2 + 0.3? dunno.. -0.1 -0.2? dunno.. ok try +0.1. press shift to exit and return... AUTOBPM to timing..wait 5 sec.... press sample button... damn i wrong... ok shift+sample AGAIN.. try +0.2... wrong.. ok shift+sample try 0.4.. wrong.... shift+sample try 0.3 ... ohh ok.

WOW i fix my sample...... but... the song was finished 1 min ago and on the room there is only 2 thing: a) the silence b) the idiot-that-try-to-fix-the -offset-time-error-because-the-350-Euro-toys-cant-has-the-AUTOBEAT!

this is a DJ GEAR... DJ work in live.. .with 3-4 min for each song.. in this time he must timing the next vinyl, speak on mic, see the people and control that music is ok.... and USE KAOSS PAD 3.... i think i need deep minimal house...8 min/track... for kaoss pad 3 ..

the LESS FAST userfriendly item in the world.... after windows vista!

and last 1 question:

3) WHY i must be a genius and REMEMBER ALL the 99 SAMPLE SLOT (on sd card) while when i:

•turn on kp3 it say me "kaoss pad 3 dynamic bla bla bla"
•i round my joystick it says the name of effect..
•kp3 is idle it make screensaver...

???????????

why?

ok KP3 EDITOR (i repeat EDITOR) was hard to make a textbox SAMPLE NAME: where i can enter for example: "INTRO MONDAY" "WELCOME MESS" "DISCOPUB..." and when i make shift+2 (load) and i round joystick IT WRITES THE NAME OF THE SAMPLE??

ahh i forgot ..KP3 is FAST USING.... i must take my 4 PAPERS.... and read 1 by 1 the name of.... 45.... 66....01......99....44....

oh yeah...... i will see WHEN next firmware will be released.... and it will be named: KAOSS PAD 4 Smile

Indiscernible rants will get you nowhere man.

All I can say is since the latest OS release, the KP3 has been pure joy. I can play with live musicians, DJ's and I use it in my own solo Live PA work. In fact, last Saturday night at a party I passed around the microphone and freestyled into the wee morning hours. The KP3 rules!!!

Hello everyone,

Just got my kp3 and I'm very surprised at how well its working. Just wanted to voice my support of making all samples audible when in sample edit mode. That would really make it so much more useful and powerful when working live, which I assume is its primary purpose.

Thanks,

Luke

You might consider posting your suggestion here (see link below), to help bolster the efforts for this feature...

I added my comments to your thread. Also added the suggestion of making the sample pads controllable via midi while in sample record mode. This would really aid in the creation of perfect loops. Seems like it would be a very easy update too.

Just bought a KP3 last week, this probably sounds daft ... but do you reckon it comes boxed with the latest OS update anyway, or should i try updating it anyway just to be sure? Sorry if this sounds like a bit of a lame question
