Many of you know by now that the Synclavier is my favorite vintage synth of all time. I just stumbled on a virtual one for the Mac, that will run on OSX. Here's a link to the site. http://www.synclavier.com/SynclavierX.html
There was something on the site about the need for some type of PCI and voice cards for it to work. I don't know much about softsynths, and I'm fairly new to modern computers, so could someone please explain to me what I would need to get the FM part of SynclavierX working on an IMac? |

This is not a virtual synth, it is a program to control your old Synclavier via a PCI card on a new Mac. You need a Synclavier for this program to work. |

Darn! What a bummer! I thought it was a virtual Synclavier. Oh well. No wonder I didn't understand what they were talking about when they mensioned voice cards and PCI addaptors. I wish they would come out with a real virtual Synclavier, because if they did, I'd definitely buy it! |
