|
|
I essentially want this know to control a chain in an Ableton Rack - each step selecting a different part in the chain, and therefore enabling a different effect - essentially controlling what becomes a multi effect unit rack...
So - according to Ableton - that knob is sending PB information - which wont control the chain selection, and midi translator picks it up as a control change message, which also is not able to be used in Ableton. Strangely enough, Ableton also seems to be ignoring any translation settings I make anyhow..
Has anyone been able to implement this as a control? It would be a lot easier if it had just been designated as a CC control... |

Use the Editor - you can change the assignments of every controller on the ZERO8 to sit your needs.

Do you have Ableton open before you open Zero Edit?
You need to open Ableton first, then ZeroEdit. Then at the top of ZeroEdit you need to look in the menus for a sync. It will import the names of the MIDI controls to ZeroEdit so that you can identify them easier. I'm not at home right now, so I can't give you better instructions than that right now. But later tonight I can do it myself and report back. |

Ah... cool. Was running the edit software without Ableton running - was having issues that way.
I will download the latest version and retry...

Ok.
In front of my computer, with Ableton Running, and Korg Edit.
Still the same question though - where is the EQ Selector Button located?
It doesn't seem to be anywhere in the edit software... |

I don't think the eq select switch sends midi. I could be wrong. |

It does. Its just that its sending program change messages or pitch bend - depending on what software you are using - not CC messages like the rest of them.
I have just programmed a translation rule that converts it back instead...
seems to do the trick. |
