Common problem I'm led to believe, anyone offer advice on how to fix them?
The Right channel has gone completely and the left cuts out every now & again

That's an old common design problem on the Prophecy. There used to be a site called lfo4.com that had a Prophecy FAQ. One of the things they mentioned was that the rear outs are mounted directly to the main board without any type of chassis or frame strain relief. Stresses from the cables being plugged and unplugged weaken the solder pads on the board and eventually the signal dies completely. Found my Prophecy dead like that at a pawn shop and got it for a steal. I still use the front headphone outs and will eventually open her up and fix the rear outs. Deoxit might help but if it's broke then going in is the real way to deal with it. Until then, there's always the headset out. |
