Hi guys, been reading and learning a lot here, thanks to y'all. Anyway I just found out that my 2GB SD card I took out from my digital camera works with my TR (tried saving and loading and it worked), but I had to re-format it to FAT 16. It was in FAT32 and the TR could not read it.
Anyway, I just thought I'd share it with you guys since I searched in this particular forum and didn't find the answer.

Cheers.
Ben

very good news, thanks! Smile

that's the max TR can handle for sure, as FAT16 format is limited to 2GB per partition

My card was in FAT32, and was unrecognized by Korg, so I could not format it in there. Using a card usb reader, in Windows I opened it in Windows Explorer, right click on it (usually says removable disk), format, did a full format (untick quick format) and select file system "FAT" instead of "FAT32" (it doesn't say FAT16 but it is). And voila. HTH.

Technically, 4gb is theoretically possible, but not practical because the cluster size is so big (lotta wasted space). Check out this link that talks about maxing out FAT16 file systems...

Yes it works, I've used it today Smile

If it even matters, I'm using a PNY 2GB that I bought for $14 at CompUSA Smile
