What is the make/model of 4 Gb CF that works in Extreme. Also do you need to upgrade 1.0.5 Operating system first in order to use more than 1 Gb CF card. |

I use an A Data 120x 4 Gb "Turbo" CF Card.
You don't need to upgrade unless you have an issue with the Sandisk CF cards that Shrike mentioned earlier.
As far as I know the compatibility issue with those specified Sandisk cards are the only thing addressed with version 1.05.
It's wouldn't hurt, though, to upgrade to 1.05.

tritex4, thank you, damn machine really has this option.
I never saw it and never used it.
Well, this just proves one can think he knows his gear and actually be wrong.
Best regards,

Hey Shrike,
Before I record a song to the sampler, in the 'Sampling' tab, 'SEQ' mode, I also set the option, to save the resampled file to Stereo or Mono-L or Mono-R, this option is closely located to the option that offers to choose your destination to 'RAM' or 'MEDIA'. This will store a stereo wave file to your Compact Flash Card.
This will be one single wave file containing both the channels, so you will not be able to edit the left or the right channels individually.
To overcome this, you will need to resample the song twice, setting one of the channels to the destination (CF Card) at a time and again resampling with the other cannel to the destination. In short, you will need to resample by selecting Mono-L channel, once that is done, resample again opting Mono-R channel, then you will have to independent channel.
And when you use an editor software, you will need to assign extreme Left and extrem Right pan to the respective channels to deliver wide stereo output.
This is a little tough job, ofcourse, but i beilieve, thats the only way if you want both the channel's converted to a wave file using Triton Extreme.
An easier way, connect audio cables to the Left / Right or the headphone output of the Triton Extreme through a sound card and record them directly to you wave editor software.
So you have 2 options to choose from.
Check them and let me know
Bye
Regards,
