I know that you can assign foot pedal to start/stop Sequencer. However this does not work for RPPR patterns. For Live performance this is a handicap. RPPR starts (by touching a key) can not be emulated by pressing the pedal. This is issue because sequence once stopped will start back from exactly the spot where it stopped. And this many times is not on the beat (unless your brain clock is perfect).
One of those features will be useful for live playing. I think drum machines have this function. |

You can't play the pattern with the foot switch, because it doesn't become MIDI data until it is copied to the sequence.
Copy the pattern to the sequence, then it can be stopped or started as part of the sequence. |

That does not solve the problem though. Advantage of trigerring RPPR with a touch of finger is that it always starts on the beat. In sequqncer start after a stop does not happen necessarily on the beat (it picks up from where you stopped it). In fact I am not sure why is sequqncer start / stop even useful feature through a pedal. Start/Stop are useful only in context of live playing. Which sequencer is not designed to make easy |
