Hi,

Sorry for asking this, as I am sure it has been discussed previosly but I just can't figure out if there's a way to fire a sample regardless of tempo.

In other words, press the A button and start a sample from 0 till end and only hear it once?

Thanks!

Sounds like you want to create a one-shot sample. If you record a sample and then stop the recording before it reaches the length of a loop then it becomes a one-shot sample and work the way that you want it to. You can also change a loop into a one-shot using the editor. If the sample button is lit up in red, then you know you have a one-shot.

Thanks - I've tried creating the one shot sample by using the editor, then I export it as wave and load it in KP3 and it is still a loop.

Hmm, that's odd. It seems to work for me to go back and forth. I'll give a step by setp of my experiment.

I load the editor and open up the Demo sample file named "01 Loop112.kpa"
click on "Bank A"
click on "Transmit and wait for the sample to get to the KP3"
When done, pad A is green to indicate a loop, hit A on KP3 to confirm
Click on One-shot on the editor
Click on Transmit to resend the sample to the KP3
When done Pad A is now red to indicate a one-shot, pressing A confirms that it only plays once and then stops. It starts from the beginning everytime you hit it and plays through to the end

If you're still having any problems, i.e the sample not starting at the start when you press the sample button, check out pages 3,4 and 5 from the 'new features' here:-
