Hey there. This is my first post, and I joined this forum because I haven't been able to find any help with this anywhere.

I just bought a MicroKorg yesterday. I love the retro-style sounds it's capable of. However, a major part of the reason I bought it was to use it as a MIDI controller/keyboard in ProTools. I've used my friends midi keyboard and it was pretty simple, you plug it in, go to the system program for Midi in OSX and scan the midi channels and they automatically show up.
However, no matter what I do I cannot get the MicroKorg to appear! It just won't work. Not only that, but normally, when the keyboards are plugged into the mBox, the midi light goes on anytime you press a key on the keyboard. This isn't happening either, which leads me to believe that my keyboard may not be transmitting midi at all, or somehow I accidentally turned off the midi of the mBox (which, as far as I know, isn't possible to do).

I've tried switching the ins and outs, read the microKORG manual over and over trying out different things, but haven't been able to get ANY response from the keyboard into the mBox.

I have an mBox pro (the kind with a midi in and out), and running PT 7.3.1 through an Intel iMac running OSX. I'd also REALLY REALLY like to be able to use it with the Soundbank editor program, which I can't get to work (since the midi is not connecting at all).

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Just so everyone knows, I figured it out. I had updated my OS, and needed to update my version of ProTools.
