|
|
Hello,
A friend has recorded his work and set it to me in a WAV file. I would like to know the easiest way to import it and then add several of my own tracks. I've been through that manuals and tried a number of approaches and know that I just must be missing something really simple. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

looseneutral,
One way is to set up in sequencer mode. You would then set the WAV file as the audio file in the master L/R tracks (you should be able to copy the WAV file directly into such a directory from the CD or a SCSI device, etc. You need to set a directory where the WAV file can be found. Afterwards you can add begin to add new tracks. Please glance at the manual for the actual procedure as I'm writing this without mine in front of me.
One other thought is making sure such an WAV file has been imported from some source that will correlate tempo and timing. Set your own metronome to the BPM of the WAV. If your friend exported this following good use of a click track you will sync up nicely and stay precisely in time.
