I'm looking for a damper pedal with 1/2 damper for my Extreme.
Do I need the official Korg pedal or do third party pedals work just as well?
If so which do you recommend?

Has anyone used the M-Audio SP-2 Sustain Pedal and does this have 1/2 damper?

Thanks

The Korg DS1H has a half damper feature on it. The M-Audio, however, does not. I have the Korg one, and I love it!

thanks justin_havu

I got conflicting reports about the M-Audio pedal. Some web sites saying it had 1/2 damper others saying not.
I even had 2 retailers ring me back and say yes it does have 1/2 damper!!

In the end I tracked down a shop that had both in with a retailer that knew what he ws talking about and settled on the Korg Pedal which I am also very pleased with.

So the best I could do is point people in their direction.

I work in a music store that also sells both products. The M-Audio's 1/4" plug is a tip/sleeve type. The only way it could produce half-damper effects is if it had a tip/ring/sleeve plug, which the korg has.

Glad you enjoy it!
