I know (from experience) that there can be all sorts of nightmarish issues when trying to get firewire audio products to work with laptops (most of which boil down to overloaded IRQ's and non-TI firewire chipsets). One of the nice things about the audio 8 is that it's USB so these all become non-issues when using Traktor Scratch.

My question is has anyone tried using the zeros to drive Traktor on a laptop, and if so have there been any issues or has it worked? I'd love to hear either way. Dell and Asus, for example, use the Ricoh firewire chipset and are pretty much useless for any audio work. If they work with any of these mixers I'd love to know.

I'm in the process of going digital and considering picking up one of these mixers but I don't want to spend $1500 on a laptop and ~$1500 on a mixer and find out the two won't talk to each other. I was going to get an Asus G1S but if it won't work I want to find out now.
