Hi Sharp, I love the samples from IActs and plan to get some but I was wondering if you could answer a question for me.
I tend to play a lot of Bach (think Toccata and Fugue) inspired fast parts at 16th notes with a choir effect. The choir effects on my TR-61 just don't cut it because they are too breathy and slow, so they do not have enough sharpness to come through the other instruments while playing fast parts like 16th notes or 8th notes. I was wondering if some of the sounds on Vocal assault that work for the TR-61 would be able to cut through better at 16th notes while still being able to have a good sound for a full note chord on the bass clef. In other words do some of the samples on Vocal Assualt have a very fast "attack" or action or are they mostly meant for somewhat slower, ambient pieces.
Thanks and I help my question made sense. |

Hi Fatalmasterpiece.
To do that with Vocal Assault, or the factory sounds on the Triton, you would have to tick the “Off Set” box in Prog mode. It can be found on the pages where you select the multisamples.
What it does is it skips part of the start of a sample. So rather than it fading in, it cuts in a lot quicker. Very useful for playing staccato notes, which is what your looking to do.
Regards.

Wow, thanks for the tip. I will try that tonight.
Also, can't wait to get vocals assault as soon as my upgrades are ready on the TR. |

Hi,
Why don't you try to use the OASYS vocoder capabiities to create your own unique sounding choirs? Here's a link to a video that shows how to do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4K1Jk2FFNE

Hi, Sharp.
Those are very nice sounding choirs! from the link you gave me.
I'm looking for a different type of vocal sample, just like in the MP3 example link i posted in the first post. _________________ World needs Nikola Tesla’s technologies |
