Hi,

I'm trying to access (for the first time) the D888 via USB. When entering the USB mode the drive does not get mounted on XPSP2 PC and everything seems to freeze on the PC. In event viewer I'm getting a lot of messages: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\D during a paging operation.
The Korg device itself does not report any error while working with it or playing a Song.

What should I do? The problem is that I have to backup some songs before formatting...
Thanks.

I solved to format the drive but the individual tracks data was lost, only the final mix I could get through the headphone output of the mixer.

I suppose the FAT32 record was damaged on HDD. In the end, after plug-unplug a few times the USB cable, unexpectedly I succeded to see the HDD on Device Manager.
But surprise, you cannot format the drive in FAT32 on XP from Device Manager, so I did a NTFS first.

Then I tryied with the command line "format x: /FS:FAT32" but get the error "Volume size too big". Finally I found a program that fixed that:

http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm

Then load the Korg OS on the drive and booted OK.
