I'm new to synthesizers and amplifiers, and I know nothing when it comes to amplifying my synth. Does anyone have some recommendations? It'd help me out immensely.
Thanks in advance. |

At home, I just run my synths through an old stereo system.
Powered (studio) monitors are another way to go. _________________ I sing the body electric |

Buy Logitech Z-2300 2.1 THX powered speakers, or Z-5300 5.1 THX if you can find them under $150. Amps are for guitarists. Keyboards have more options. Also get some Sennheiser HD 280 pro headphones. |

speaking of headphones, I was thinking of buying some MDR-v900HD
Should I just go for the Sennheiser HD 280 pro? |

Powered (studio) monitors are another way to go. | I just picked up a QSC 3 way self powered speaker for a mono DI send....and I love it so much, I need to pick up a second for stereo on stage and rehearsal..

I think you'll be happy with the HD280pros at half the price.
I'd be very pleased if someone gave me some MDR-v900HDs, but for my own hard earned cash, the HD280pros have fully satisfied my ears. See if you can A/B compare them to determine for yourself if the extra cost is worth it to you. |
