Oh man - I created a reply - it took me 15 mins. and it got lost - aaarghhh!!!
Okay - to start again .................
I forgot to say that I used an M3 and its Karma v2 for this tune, and a PC for recording.
There is this show over here in the states called How Its Made. They show lots of footage of high volume manufacturing machines sucking in raw material, cooking / baking / reforming / stretching matter, then spitting out a product which is then post processed for shipping. This show is what I had in mind when making this tune.
One thing I wanted feedback - which I got - on was the panning. It seems most prefer more center panned drums. For me it was an experiment, and I actually liked the results.
Anyways thanks for all your feedback !!
Lorenzo:
Yes - I could experiment more w/panning but probably will not due to time. I have to start my March tune. Ya no, I think your right - the drums are a bit muffled sounding - that one I can fix easily. Ahh but I love the bass punch

Actually I had to beat back the highs on the arps as they were piercing my skull.
Stephen:
I just love them synth sounds - they inspire me.
Daz:
Your post about the coffee mug was funnny
JonSolo:
I triple checked the timing at the beginning - I believe it is correct - but I had the same impression when I originally built that part. There is almost a hesitation for the arp there. And yes, I think that if I had a bass line thru the whole tune, then some low end spectrum would be both channels. Alternatively I could've panned just the hi hat and cymbals over there, but that would still leave a spectrum shift. Maybe Stephens recommendation to center the kick would work. Re: solo - yes it is too short as is the whole tune, just over 3 mins.
George:
I used Karma for the most of the variations, and the drums (which I tweked here and there after the fact). I think pure synth. music like this (light and fun) is easier to do since syncing up is all in the digital domain. When I do tunes whre I play bass or guitar - ugh - major sync. issues. Of course, if my playing wasn't so sloppy it would be easier. And umm .... 1/6th of the way there
Dee:
Yes - I tried to limit changing too much at once - say an arp with a new voice. I think there are really only 2 arps in there - and most of the tune is in one chord - there are only 2 chords actually. So yes - from that viewpoint it is very simplistic.
Diego:
I;ve been warned about your punchiness (Thanks Lorenzo - otherwise I would've been thinking about this too much). But you did notice my sloppy lead!! And you right - it isn't tight. But that is one piece I didn't say the midi - shame on me - so I have to play it again.
Thanks for all your feedback. I will work in some of these things before posting to Sound Click.
