My E-mu Morpheus died yesterday. MIDI is fine, but no audio (main outs or headphone). Since I've used this synth in everything I've ever written, I really need to resurrect it pronto or face revoicing multiple tracks in about 1,500 unrendered pieces.

Does anyone know of a good synth tech in Ireland (preferaby Dublin)?

It's astonishing really. I own Korgs (01/Wfd, i3, Wavestation SR, Prophecy, Triton-Rack, Karma), Rolands (VP-9000, DR-5), and E-mus (EIV, Morpheus) – and of them all, only the E-mus are now bust (never gigged, used only in my own private studio by me). I've abandoned the EIV since this is the third power supply it's burned out, but I need that Morpheus.

Any assistance would be really appreciated.

Kind regards.

Hi Dave.
Sorry I can't help you with anyone in the dublin area, but there's a tiny music shop in Fermoy, Co Cork. Tom Baylers.

Tom has a Polish guy working there that's just gifted at fixing things. We sent down a JV80 to him once that we were told was beyond repair by Roland. The guy fixed it in 1 hour Smile

Regards.
Sharp.

Thanks for your response, Sharp.

I still have to do a tour of the music shops here in Dublin yet. It bugs the crap out of me to do that since I know they'll just courier the unit out to an independent synth tech (or possibly even the UK), then add a juicy markup for themselves. I'm trying to bypass these bloodsuckers and go direct to the source.

I may just give Mr. Bayler a phone call if I get no joy out of these guys here.

Thanks again for your assistance.

Kind regards.
