1. Loading a Single Sampled Drum Kit...it Loads but it takes forever, never
stops. After restarting the KIT is there and working properly but you have
to restart otherwise the LOADing wont stop.
I cant confirm it as a bug, i didnt read KORGs Instructions (I never do)
to know if it is a different format, which means resaving the DKs in the
new OS but if thats the case thats a big shame...until when we have to
keep resaving...already 5 different formats in one year. In the next 2
days i will try if the ReSave helps anything...this is one single small thing
that i tried, i dont have much tie to get into it. _________________ http://www.basaristudios.com

This is not a problem other people have experienced. If you are willing, can the two of us please correspond by email and I will try to fix this problem for you? Once we've got a solution in place, you can post a follow up to let people know the outcome, eh? Click the "email" button below to send me an Email (not a PM please). |

Hi,

We were not able to find out a problem with regular drumkits in 1.60. However, you must keep in mind that loading older drumkits might actually cause problems, if you do not convert them to the newer format (introduced with OS 1.02).
This is described in the "Pa800-102UPG-Readme.pdf" document, that you can download from this page:
http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/en/products/pa800_man.html
I'll report its content here, for ease of retrivial:
------------
Operating System version 1.02 uses a new format for Drum Kits. After installing the OS, please convert all Drum Kits (Factory or User) making use of User Samples to the new format. Here is how to do it.
1. Press SOUND to go to the Sound mode.
2. Select the first of the Drum Kits making use of User Samples.
3. From the page menu, choose the Write Sound command.
4. When the Write Sound dialog box appears, do not make any change. Press OK to save the Drum Kit to the original location.
5. Repeat the above procedure with all the subsequent Drum Kits in memory (assuming they are making use of User Samples).
The above procedure should be repeated with all the Drum Kits, making use of User Samples, created before installing Operating System version 1.02. Load the Drum Kits (or .SET folders containing them) and apply the above procedure to the loaded Drum Kits (Factory or User). Then save them again in the original .SET folder.
------------
There is no need to format the internal SSD memory to do the above, since it is just a matter of loading and saving.
If you find a regular (i.e., in the current format) drumkit freezing the Pa800, please let us know. I will ask you to send it to me, so that we can have it analyzed by our engineers.
Best regards,
Paolo |

I think this subjects refer to Bug's:
Changing MIDI in sequencer mode-THER IS PROBLEM THAT THE CHANGES ARE NOT SAVED.
Explained in "post subject-Changing midis using PA800".
RECORD SAMPELS WITH 5 SCONDS AND MORE ARE NOT SAVING AFTER SLICE.
Explained in "Post subject: New OS bug? –"Error writing Groove file".
Will be appreciating if KORG or some one else will verify it. _________________ AVI PA800 USER |

I want to know if anybody has the same problem,
When i use a mic through pa800 i lock the preset and then while i play i make changes in fx send or EQ of vocal processor and it stays changed, but after playing a while and changing some styles or performances it changes my settings by itself. Is this a bug? I mean i lock the vocal presets. _________________ Nikola
