Which M-Audio did you get? You might have gotten a copy of Cubase instead of ProTools. Either one will do ya good!

Hi Jon,
Really don't have it yet an hand...Its ordered...as they had none in stock...
Called Delta 44, I believe, and really wanted to ask about it anyway..(I get the feel he has a better margin in this as he pressed me a bit about it...)
Know anything about it???

Actually the Delta 44 is a great card. All the Delta series is quite nice...I have two Delta series cards. So we will be using pretty much the same card.
It is very clean and the XP drivers are flawless. Right now I am using their Vista beta drivers, but even those are great. M-Audio is a good company and their prices have always been good for the product you get.
The Delta card in this machine is almost eight years old and still kicking (it has been in over six different machines).

Hi Jon,
Thanks for he info on the Delta...Sounds that I will and should go with it...(I am only about half oblgated as he needed to make a stock list anyway...so...I will go ahead and pay him in full for the whole job..)
The Comp. clean for some old material and coding part of it...+ another Gig of memory..was $161...which seems in the park I hope...The additional for the card is about $195-200...and I see it at $189 on the net so..he is prob. doing me a favor over all...as its just a local store with much less volume..
Thanks Much for the INFO!!! Johnny (ellll)
P.S.**** Anyone have any comments on Skydrive?? Really don't want new things right now but a friend wants me to use it....????? |

Should be a nice set up Jon!
Never used Skydrive, as I have an external HD for backups, and webspace for other files.
Sounds like a good plan though, as the files will be stored away from the rest of the kit, which is always a good idea. _________________ Chordial |

Thanks Cordial (Simon..right?),
For the info on Skydrive...
Now another for any help from anyone......Why do I have another web browser on that I didn't put, and does it matter....???
I irritates me for taking up space with a tool bar...You can click it off...but when you close out and return..its right back..and I cant find it in the files anywhere...
Its called ..."Ask"... How do I get rid of it???
Regards to all, Johnny (ellll) |

Go to your Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel (usually Start button and then it is on the menu).
Once there look for the Ask toolbar and choose to remove it.
Jon
P.S. While you are at it, I strongly recommend CCleaner, a free tool to keep your registry clean and removes temp files from your hard drive. And I recommend Spybot S&D. It is the smallest yet most powerful program keep ads, trojans, etc to a minimum. _________________ Jon Solo
