Sorry guys, I'm sure a lot of you have seen this topic time and time again.
But I need help with a basic tutorial on playing the MicroKorg in GarageBand.
I have http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/EMu-Xmidi-1X1-USB-MIDI-interface?sku=700698
for the connection between the synth and the computer...
will this work?
thanks again.

If you are using Garage Band, don't bother with any MIDI stuff. Your best bet is to just use regular patch chords. Garage Band doesn't support MIDI so it won't do much for you. So yeah, if you can get a hold of a chord that adapts two 1/4 cables into a 1/8 to plug into regular inputs, then you'll be set. Also, the monitor in Garage Band is Off by default so you have to turn that on before you can hear yourself. I hope this helps. The chord looks like this.
