|
|
Hello...I believe I have found a new bug in the OS 1.60. I loaded a SET that I made on a previous version of OS. In this SET I had some drum samples, so I followed the instructions and Re-Saved all of the drum samples so that the reverse function can be used. Once I did that, I found the bug. Some of the samples I re-saved got a little click noise at the end of sample, which was not there before. |

Hi Korg-Pa800,
What you are describing is exactly what I would expect when you reverse a percussion sample.
A normal percussive sample has an explosive start followed by an exponentially decaying tail. A cymbal brush hit could be described as the sound "Pshhhh".
When you reverse a percussive sample, the exponentially decaying tail of the sample comes first followed by the explosive start. So a reversed cymbal brush hit would sound "hhhhsP". |

Exactly as Rob said, has nothing to do with OS or BUG. _________________ http://www.basaristudios.com

Yes guys your answers would be true if I reversed the drum sample, but in my case it is not since I did not reverse the sample. I am still experimenting with this, want to make sure it is a real bug. I will let you know tomorrow. |

Yes if you did not reverse the samples then it could be a bug. Please could you send me by email the .SET file before you re-saved the drum samples, and the .SET file after you re-saved the drum samples under OS1.60 ? If I can confirm it is a bug then I might have some influence in getting a bug fix for tis into the next OS release. |
