I've searched the forums but have not been able to find anyone mention this particular problem:
I have KP3 driving a Korg MicroX, which is set to EXT tempo. As I change tempo on KP3 my MicroX keeps synced up. Except that the timing is *slightly* off: if I run KP3 Drum1 program and press Hold, then run an ARP program on MicroX they will be in sync initially but after 10-20 seconds I will start noticing that KP3 is drifting ahead. Within 40 seconds they're completely out of sync.
Now, this has nothing to do with Sample alignment, I'm just running an internal ARP program on KP3, and an ARP program on MicroX. If I understand things correctly, KP3 will fire a MIDI CLOCK message onto the MIDI bus so there should be no sync issues. Am I missing something obvious??
Thanks! |

I'm not sure, but if you're using the drum presets they do run out of time. I have no idea why this is, and if someone else knows why the drum presets defy their own clock it'd be interesting to hear why, but in the meantime you should try and sample a loop of the drum program. For some reason the samples loop in time, but the preset drums don't. Hopefully they can fix this in the next update. |
