Hi - I couldn't understand exactly what you are trying to do. Can you be more specific - like channel #'s what is connected to what etc. And please don't use abbreviations.

im tryin to create samples to make patches on the triton.....
i have the triton hook stereo into the mixer
and i have an efx processor getting input from the indivdual out 1 of the triton and its out put is coming through a different channel of the mixer
and i have the headphone out of the mixer going to the triton input 2
i pick a patch set the out put to indivdual one
turn the main output of the triton down on the mixer
find an effect that i like
set the sampler to record input 2 ;source input 1/2
record what i think is the new efx and all i get is the original key i pressed

I have never used the TS to sample an external source. This is probably covered in the manual. The thing that is interesting is that you are using the TS as a sound generator but want to sample an external source.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
