You had me at "hello". Laughing

On my third listen now.

Intro is great. The light arp sound with the deep low end behind it is great. Just the right amount of FX. I love the major chord progression that it offers over a minor chord progression. Normally that would cause intonality or creative a minor 7th chord. In this case it just added a sense of unease which is great!

The light percussion in the song really gives us something to bite into without straining our listening.

The melody is lovely. I don't feel a "fear" aspect in this song, but there is a strong sense of the unknown in it's presentation.

What really makes this song stand out is it's simplicity. By that I do not mean that it is a simple song, but rather that you keep the listener very focused! While not playful in nature it would fit rather well in a dark video game, and I could see you getting paid big for this track! Very Happy

Great job for your October piece. You never let us down with great original ideas!

Jon

What a mood this creates. Trepidation comes to mind. I am enjoying more and more these sorts of quiet yet punchy rhythm tracks like the outro of my Fireman song. I'm noticing how these less busy open soundscapes to focus the ears and help maintain an intimacy. This would make a good soundtrack for sure. You've got an opportunity there I'd say. Very cool song.

Thanks for the kind words guys,

the chord progression (in the first half of the song) turned out to be like this by accident. My intention was to use E minor and Cminor but by adding that bass sound on C and A flat, I ended up in Cmajor and A flat major respectively. I didn't quite realize that until my music teacher told me so.. Confused

I wanted this to sound kind of scary, but agree that it all feels rather anxious then scary lol..still, I hope it more or less fits with the Haloween theme of this month.

cheers Smile

Hi Sewa!

As you may know, I love your sounds, your style, the way you live your electronic music with your own original compositions!
In that case I think that you used just the right amount of everything, short and percussive sounds mixed to panning percussions, with perfect suspensive pads and chord progressions.

I like it very much and totally agree with John and Georginar comments (they're always so smart to get the point in a few lines!).

Great October entry!

I think this works perfectly as a Halloween song, or soundtrack, lots of tension, and mystery.
Very nice, once again.
Regards,

I was half expecting a hip hop song when the intro started, and then the mood all changed!

I love the synth textures against those harder percussion sounds.

It's laid back, but so addictive, I've enjoyed listening to this.

Cheers Simon

Hi sewa,

I must say that the first listen is not like subsequent listens. The first time I didn't know what to make of the starting melody and panning SFx, but then the counter melody came in it all fit together.

You have a flare for crafting deceptively non-complicated tunes that leave the listener with a well rounded, full experience - 4mins 51 secs pass by without notice.

I agree with the others - no fear in here - just trepidation - nice vein of eeriness.

I think this tune is one of your better tunes - at least theme wise. I would rate it in your top 20% of ALL the tunes you've pumped out Smile

Cheers,

={> Art

Diego, Stephen, Simon, Art,

thanks for comments. At the moment it isn't easy for me to find enough time for music making. Autumn is usually busy at work which means there isn't too much time to compose during the week. On the positive side, lack of time requires focus and concentration. Too much experimenting sometimes tends to ruin the structure of my work.

Still, next year I would like to take some time and rework some of my older tunes. Having a website would be nice too although right now, I have little idea how to do that...

Hi Sewa....,

WoW...what a moody sound here..(hear)....

This has a way of being like a part of a track for something like a fear movie or suspense issue of some kind. It is really some interesting and effective sound mixing for me..I felt the whole thing was a reflection of fear...Well Done!!

Regards, John (ellll) Very Happy
