I had an X5DR and had to let it go. I happily picked up another one on ebay. Previous user did lots of programming and tweaking. I downloaded a manual but didn't see info on returning the unit to factory settings. Did a Google. Looked at a few pages, with matching info to be sure. Followed instructions. The unit seems to have gone back to something unrecognizable.
00 is no longer Solar Flare, but 00:Initcombi0, and that is so with everything both in Combi mode and Program mode. Everything sounds like a toy. It appears the unit has gone back to some kind of building block sound stage with nothing but bare bones sounds. It is wiped out of what it was.
Is the unit lost, or can the factory combinations and programs be restored? Can it be sent to an authorized dealer for that to be done?
While I have owned and worked with synths over the years, I am a relative noob to all the tech talk and abbreviations for things. I need a midi dictionary. I'm basically a plug and play guy.
If someone can steer me in the right direction I would appreciate it. |
